History of Audio Books

Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland” by Lewis Carroll has been provided by the Gutenberg Project.

The story and associated audio book are located on Gutenberg and can be found by putting either the authors name “Lewis Carroll” or the story title “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” and the list will show up.

Most of Lewis Carroll’s books are on the list and have been provided for free.

You are probably wondering why I go through all of this effort to provide you with something you can get for free. Well you can only get it if you know about it so now you know.

Anyway, if it is the only way I can get you to listen to a book that has been put onto audio then we are all the better for it. You will learn about audio books and the joy of being able to “read” a book during your very busiest times.

If you get your children to read these books it is even better as the more they can “read” the smarter they become.

Books can only make you a better person so read as much as you can whether it be for free or if you have to pay.

The Gutenberg Project does a great job with these book using volunteer help. Sometimes the audio is not the greatest but for free, you get what you pay for which is getting something that is better than not getting anything at all.

But if you want more of these types of books or even more up to date books, please go to my web site for a selection of over 6,000 audio books in all fields. You can even get professionally recorded versions of Tom Sawyer, Huck Finn, Wizard of Oz and more that use many entertainers to record these books. They are wonderful to listen to and very enjoyable. You can listen to a 5 minute excerpt of each book when you click on the link under the book.

My Web Site is The Great Audio Books List Store and if you Click Here you can get more books.

Please, for you and the rest of your family, read more even by using audio books.

If you are not sure how to acquire these books on Gutenberg or the Great Audio Books List Store, you can go to my web site for an audio/video instruction on how to load these books and then go to Gutenberg Project for the free ones.

I hope you have become informed enough to begin using the audio books as I think that there are many, many advantages to using audio books that you cannot get from reading especially with our busy lives.

Thanks and enjoy.
